General Description

The Digital Communications Coordinator will oversee and work closely with the Director of Community Relations to create and administer content on all social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to build an audience and promote EHN's community image and services. Position will create strategies to increase the reach and impact of social media messaging to include conceptualizing, writing and editing skills posts and other related communication tools. This would include production and editing of videos for online content. The incumbent may also monitor site activity, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design.

Duties and Responsibilities

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position, as necessary.

  • Create and administer social media content.
  • Participate in video production and editing of media for final publication of promotional content.
  • Assist in the development of EHN outreach material such as brochures, web content, etc.
  • Assists with planning and execution of EHN community events.
  • Assists with EHN marketing campaigns and media interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Requires Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications, or related field, supplemented by two (2) years of experience; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Knowledge and Abilities

  • Experience navigating websites including social media, commercial websites, etc.
  • Attention to detail: spelling, grammar and writing skills.
  • Video production and editing skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing business needs.
  • Highly motivated, social media savvy with solid writing and editing skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize assignments and organize schedule accordingly.

Physical Demands

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment)

  • Involves routine and frequent exposure to:
    • Bright/dim light; Dusts and pollen.
    • Other extreme hazards not listed above.

Special Certifications and Licenses

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a TB, criminal background, and drug screen.
