General Description

The position is an integral part of the procurement/supply chain function in the achievement of operational objectives. With a strong, solid background in purchasing and supply chain management, the position will take a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and procedures, making recommendations, and implementing changes. The role is key to leading the company forward in securing quality suppliers of materials and components covering price delivery, quality targets, and the contribution towards the shaping of the business through the next phase of planned growth.

This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position, as necessary.

  • Oversee and maintains current inventory.
  • Research, analyze, and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
  • Identify new suppliers, agree terms, and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates.
  • Maintain perpetual physical inventory of warehouse stock.
  • Verify quantities and types of items received against invoices, purchase orders and/or freight bills.
  • Assist department with annual physical inventory of warehouse stock.
  • Perform inventory tracking duties to include, but not limited to tagging and EHN assets, issuance of materials and uniforms.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Requires an associate's degree in business, economics, or related field. Supplemented by at least two years of retail experience required experience; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience with trauma-informed services; cognitive behavioral therapies, including DBT; and motivational therapies including the use of incentives, preferred.

Required Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge of trauma-informed theories, principles, and practices (includes multi-faceted understanding of concepts such as community trauma, intergenerational and historical trauma, parallel processes, and universal precautions), preferred.

Physical Demands

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 25 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

  • Involves routine and frequent exposure to:
    • Bright/dim light; Dusts and pollen.
    • Extreme heat and/or cold; Wet or humid conditions.
    • Extreme noise levels, Animals/wildlife.

    • Electrical shock; Heights.
    • Radiation; Disease/pathogens.
    • Toxic/caustic chemicals; Explosives; Violence.

Special Certifications and Licenses

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a TB, criminal background, and drug screen.
